Jonathan Kerber is an associate at Beresh Cunningham. He joined the firm in 2010 as an articling student under Mr. Beresh and remained with the firm as an associate following his call to the bar in 2011.
Jon received a Bachelor of Science with Honours from the University of Alberta in 2006. Following a brief re-entry into the workforce, he attended the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta, earning his Bachelor of Laws in 2010.
During law school, Mr. Kerber was an avid volunteer with Student Legal Services. Over his three years of service, Mr. Kerber provided legal information and assistance to low-income individuals in need, successfully defending many individuals at trial as a law student.
Mr. Kerber now practices exclusively in the area of criminal defence law as an associate with Beresh Cunningham. He has successfully assisted a wide range of clients thus far, representing individuals for traffic, criminal and drug offences throughout the province of Alberta.
Mr. Kerber also has a keen interest in criminal appeals. As an articling student Mr. Kerber assisted Mr. Beresh with a variety of appeals to the Alberta and Northwest Territories Courts of Appeal. This interest has continued into his practice as an associate. In only his first year of practice Mr. Kerber conducted matters before the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench and the Alberta Court of Appeal.
