Amy Lind is an associate at Liberty Law. In 2008 she completed her undergraduate degree with a double major in psychology and sociology (with distinction), before commencing her Bachelor of Laws that fall. In 2011 she completed her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Alberta and joined the firm as an articling student. Amy was admitted to the Alberta Bar in July of 2012.
During law school Amy focused on criminal law and advocacy, including an independent research paper that combined her interest in youth crime and her background in sociology. She showed an immense interest and aptitude for criminal law, winning both the prestigious Juris Radze Award for outstanding academic achievement in advanced criminal law and the graduating award for criminal law.
Amy’s interest in criminal law is not purely academic, for three years she eagerly and successfully defended and assisted individuals with Student Legal Services, she has participated as a member of the Criminal Trial Lawyers Association and has taken on multiple Rowbotham applications. Amy is also very active in the community as a member of the board of Players de novo (raising funds for arts) and as the president of Rock n Robes, a not for profit organization which raises funds for the Youth Emergency Shelter.
Most recently she successfully concluded a robbery trial whereby it was argued that the police had breached her clients rights.
Amy would be happy to meet with you to discuss any matter involving criminal charges. She offers a free initial consultation and willingly takes many legal aid cases.
