Community Involvement

Each year, Liberty Law is involved in extensive charitable work in the hopes of making our community more caring, and inclusive: a special place to live, work and play. We have focussed on initiatives that address youth, indigenous, addictions, and mental health issues.

First and foremost, we have partnered with Mark Cherrington Mark@Coalition4jhr.org of the Coalition for Justice and Human Rights www.Coalition4jhr.org in order to more fully support his invaluable work and tireless efforts in bridging gaps in our legal system and social services. Mark can be reached at (780) 850-6254.

We play a pivotal role organizing and participating in the Annual Crown/Defence Charity hockey game which has raised over $100,000. for indigenous youth programs through The Right to Play Charity.

Our commitment to strengthening our community also includes donating to and working with numerous charities and non-profit organizations such as Student Legal Services, John Howard Society, Drug Treatment Court, Habitat for Humanity, the Salvation Army, Youth Emergency Shelter, Y.M.C.A. Strong Kids, Children’s Wish Foundation, and the Stollery Children’s Hospital.

We are also heavily involved in other local charities and organizations such as Players de Novo in support of the Victoria School of the Arts, and Rock’n’Robes in support of Free Footie and iHuman. Additionally, we have sponsored local youth soccer and hockey teams.

Liberty Law sponsored the Edmonton Premiere of Making Coco: The Grant Fuhr Story. Click here for more information.
